CLD owns and operates 13 homes that provide accommodations to over 60 adults with intellectual disabilities.
Our 14th home opened in spring 2023. We assist adults to achieve their personal goals while fostering inclusion in our community.
This home supports adults with Prader-Willi Syndrome.
Their unique needs are addressed through a specialized environment, intervention strategies and individual programs. Staff receive specialized training to address the particular needs relating to this population.
Many adults with intellectual disabilities can live in their own homes or apartments when provided with three to five hours of weekly support.
CLD assists adults to make informed choices regarding their goals, relationships, health, rights, community inclusion, safety and security.
Respite care is a family support service that provides temporary relief from the emotional demands involved in caring for their adult family member.
Respite provides adults opportunities to engage in community activities while allowing caregivers time for themselves. Overnight weekend respite for person's diagnosed with Prader Willi Syndrome is available in our specialized regional home. The Saturday Respite program (some restrictions apply) is offered during the daytime in the Options area.
Gifts from donors like you provide opportunities for people we support to actively participate in their community.
We would like to respectfully acknowledge that Dufferin County resides within the traditional territory and ancestral lands of the Tionontati (Petun), Attawandaron (Neutral),
