Board Member
Join Our Dynamic Board!
Are you passionate about making a difference in the developmental services sector? We are a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities, and we are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic community member to join our volunteer board.
Focus for 2024-2025
In the upcoming year, our board will focus on implementing our newly launched Strategic Plan. We are looking for a board member who can contribute their unique perspectives and skills to help guide our organization in this critical phase. We value diversity in age, strengths, ideas, and backgrounds. A diverse board helps us better understand and meet the needs of the people we support, ensuring the visibility and viability of our services.
Responsibilities
- Attend board and committee meetings regularly
- Assist with strategic planning and policy development
- Participate in fundraising and community outreach activities
Commitment
- Approximately two hours per month for board meetings, additional time for committee work and special projects
- Three-year term
- This volunteer position will begin September 7th at our meeting of members
Meeting Schedule
- Monthly Meetings: Second Tuesday of each month (except July and August)
- In-Person & Virtual Meetings: September, October, April, May, and June
- Virtual Meetings Only: November through MarchMembers may attend virtually for all meetings
