We are seeking dedicated, enthusiastic community members to complement our current board. We have three open positions on our Board and invite interested parties to reach out with an expression of interest.

We presently require guidance from individuals whose strengths lay in the area(s) of law (charity, employment), accounting and social services.

Through Board diversity of age, strengths, ideas and backgrounds we can continue to plan for the visibility and viability of our service and its outcomes for the people we support.

In the past three years CLD has seen tremendous growth in the way in which we support adults who have intellectual disabilities through the creation of a social enterprise initiative, B Social Dufferin.  2021 will see us expand with moves into two new communities within Dufferin County, increasing our presence and our ability to support people in their own community.

CLD’s Board meets the first Tuesday of each month with the exception of July and August. Board members responsibilities include attending board and committee meetings, assisting with strategic planning, and fundraising. Your commitment would be approximately two hours per month on a three-year term.

This Board position becomes effective immediately.

*Currently, due to COVID-19 our meetings are held virtually. When we are able to meet in person again, meetings are conducted at main building on County Road 3 in East Garafraxa.
