Please read updated news on how CLD is working through this COVID-19 pandemic.

Community Living Dufferin’s responsibility is to ensure the safety of the people we support and our staff. With this at the forefront of all decisions we make, here is what CLD is doing effective immediately:

1. Our main building remains closed to all visitors and renters;
2. Our day program (Options) is closed;
3. Essential visits only from two family members effective immediately as mandated by our ministry.
4. Visits to family members homes are suspended. (This may changed based on direction from MCCSS)

Only scheduled staff, managers, (and essential visitors) will be permitted entrance to our CLD residential homes. Families can maintain communication with their family members through phone calls and/or technology.

We feel it is in the best interest of everyone that we ensure safe distancing. This practice will help to curb the possibility of transferring the Corona virus.

Rest assured that we regularly revisit these decisions based on the advice from our ministry and local public health.
We will continue to provide our 24/7 residential and supportive independent living programs, however we are reducing our external activities for the people we support.

If you have been out of the country, or are feeling unwell at all we ask that you do not visit your loved one’s home.
All essential visitors will be assessed upon arrival by a staff member prior to being granted access to the residential home or main office.

If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to me.

Thank you for your understanding as we work through this situation.
