If you would like to develop the skills needed to work for Community Living Dufferin you can take college courses in programs such as Developmental Services Worker (DSW),Social Services Worker (SSW), Personal Support Worker (PSW), and Early Childhood Education (ECE). Many of these college diplomas or other human services programs are two years in length. University degrees in social services also prepare you for jobs in this sector, in particular the Bachelor's Degree in Disability Studies from Ryerson University in Toronto.

In addition to your education, additional experience in this field gained from volunteer work or summer employment, the ability to communicate well verbally and in writing, along with a G2 license and a clean criminal reference check, will start you on an exciting and challenging career.

If you already have the qualifications to work in this field or if you are actively pursing education in the developmental area, please submit your resume to the Human Resource Department as part-time positions are frequently available.
